Osoyoos Desert Centre is excited to invite you to An Evening Walk in the Desert, a unique tour at dusk taking place Wednesday August 20, Thursday August 21, and Tuesday August 26 from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
This much-loved guided evening adventure takes participants on a stroll along the ODC’s iconic 1.5 km boardwalk trail as the desert begins to stir with nocturnal life. Participants will have the chance to witness the desert’s nighttime transformation from listening to the haunting call of a coyote to spotting bats and nighthawks flapping overhead.
“Osoyoos Desert Centre’s night tours are always a big hit,” says Jayme Friedt, Executive Director. “There’s definitely something special about walking through the quiet desert at night. Wildlife sightings are unpredictable and not guaranteed, but listening, watching, and learning about the incredible creatures that thrive in our desert environment is just as fun!”
Admission for An Evening Walk in the Desert is $20. Space is limited and participants MUST pre-register through the ODC office at 250-495-2470 by Tuesday August 19th.
Tours start at 8 pm sharp! Gates will be locked once tour starts. The event goes rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
